pretend and play restaurant set: a sneak peak

It's actually only a coincidence that I'm working on a pretend and play restaurant set the very same week that I had a horrible restaurant experience.  My girls have been playing restaurant together for a few weeks now.  They love taking orders, making the food and serving the customer.  (It's quite possible they have better customer service than some actual adults who work in restaurants.  They have yet to serve me any food with beetles, so I'm definitely a returning customer to Sisters' Restaurant!)

This set will include a variety of things . . . including a waitress/waiter apron, personalized ordering pad, menus, restaurant sign, chef apron and hat, hot pads . . . a maybe a few other things.  Yep, I'm definitely getting carried away again.

Here's a sneak peak at the waitress/waiter apron which has an easy on/off waist strap so that a child can do it without help.

Craft on!

  3. I love it! I don't consider it getting carried away -- I consider it being thorough!

I wish I had kept my duds from when I waited tables so they could become playthings... not that kids would want a stinky gray polyester polo and black apron, anyway. :)

I cherish each comment! However, I can't respond to each comment anymore . . . I want to, but it's just not possible.

I will ALWAYS reply to a question though if your blogger account is set up to allow e-mail responses. If you ask a question and do not get a reply from me, it is because you are a no-reply blogger. Your best bet at a response then is to e-mail me directly.
