I also found some mini gel pens at Target for a dollar. They fit perfectly in the roll made for crayons, and they won't mark up the fabric like crayons do when you slide them in and out. I'm so excited that I feel a little giddy!
Before I sign off and head to bed, I have to give a little credit to my new friend - disappearing ink - without whom none of this would be possible. I met disappearing ink while exploring the sewing department at Hobby Lobby, and I thought it sounded like a wonderfully helpful tool. So . . . thanks for making my life just a little easier and my seams just a little straighter.

That turned out really good. I really love the fabric choices you have made. I wish I had the ambition you have to teach myself to sew. I have always wanted to learn to sew. Maybe someday I will try. I have purchased at craft shows some cool things in the past few months that people have sew. Some really pretty bibs for baby's and some spit rags. They look farely easy, (but that is coming from me, a person that can't sew). It would make neat gifts for some new baby's in your church. If you would ever be interested in seeing them, I could take a picture of them and send it to you. I don't have a pattern for them. Anyways, just a thought I had. Have a good night!

Thanks for your encouragement. I've decided that fabric makes such a difference in how I feel about a project. My problem is that I don't like to pay full price, so I usually by from the scrap pile. That doesn't leave a lot of options sometimes. I would love to see what you bought. I'm always looking for ideas. I do baby taggies a lot for baby gifts, and I would love to have something else to give besides those. Send pictures whenever you get a chance. Thanks!!!
Super cute! What is the trick with the disappearing ink?
Well, I had a really hard time sewing straight on my first two crayon rolls, so I used the diappearing ink to make a little line on each end of the invisible line I needed to sew. Then all I had to do was sew to connect the two disappearing ink lines. The lines on my third crayon roll turned out much straighter.
I love the idea of using the disappearing ink. How clever!
