hello blizzard and sponsors!

Well, I'm not sure where you live, but if you live in the Midwest . . . enjoy the blizzard

Holy tamole!

I'm looking out my window right now, and I can't see the neighbor's house across the street.  Yep, I'm thinking we aren't going to be venturing out today.

Here are a few of the things on my "stuck in doors on a blizzard day" to-do list:
Finish up a few crayon ornaments.
Make a few audition crafts for the classroom holiday party with my kids.
Make a couple of capes for stocking stuffers.
Put a batch of chili in the crock pot for tonight's dinner.
Watch the Nutcracker ballet with my girls (on TV, of course).

What do you like to do on your "stuck inside all day" days?

May I suggest . . .

sponsor spotlight and giveaway: arise shine designs

I'm a big fan of bracelets and necklaces.  A beautiful bracelet freshens up an outfit.  An eye-catching necklace gives people a sneak peak into your personality and style.  That's why I've been having so much fun wearing by brand new bracelet from Arise Shine Designs around the last few weeks.

Rebecca, the creator of Arise Shine Designs, let me choose my own piece from her amazing collection.  When I saw the Mille Fiori Venetian Bead bracelet on her site, I knew right away it was totally me.  Paired with a Joy charm to remind me to choose joy daily . . . sometimes hourly . . . this little piece of jewelry is a source of inspiration.

I found a few other favorites on her site as well.

Rebecca's attention to detail and costumer service skills are amazing.  Keep Arise Shine Designs in mind for a truly special and inspirational gift this coming holiday season.

Rebecca is a true blessing to work with, and I'm so excited to call her a super sponsor of twelve crafts till Christmas.  I'm also excited that we are teaming up to give away two mini charm necklaces . . . that's right, I said that there will be TWO winners! Woo hoo!

The first winner selected will get to choose between these two mini charm necklaces:

super sponsor spotlight: the speckled dog

When I walk into a second-hand store, Goodwill or a consignment shop, I see nothing but old junk, tarnished trinkets and worn knick-knacks, but Kristi from The Speckled Dog sees a diamond in the rough on every shelf.

My fascination with The Speckled Dog began because of an eye-catching blog button months and months ago.  Check it out:

But my fascination continues because The Speckled Dog blog birthed The Speckled Dog Etsy shop which sells shabby chic decor, vintage finds and hand knit pieces.  Kristi has an eye for finding items that have potential.  She also makes beautiful hand-knitted hats.

Check out a few of my favs from her shop:

Shabby Chic Pedestal Bowl

Green Spiral Knit Hat

Vintage Green Glass Nesting Hen

(Okay . . . I just now realized that all my fav items from The Speckled Dog Etsy shop are green.  I honestly didn't realize that until I loaded them all into this post.  I apparently have an obsession with green!)

I'm so proud to call The Speckled Dog a sponsor of twelve crafts till Christmas.

Stop by The Speckled Dog blog for a little inspiration and The Speckled Dog Etsy shop for some one-of-a-kind gifts.
